Opened on Nanbin Road at the start of 2026, Firefly Harbor Cat Theme Park is a 30,000-square-meter riverside sanctuary for rescued stray cats — quickly nicknamed online as the place where cats “earn their treats” through affection. It’s home to several hundred cats, most rescued after being abandoned, injured, or displaced from closed cat cafes; after treatment and vaccination, a large number of friendly “on duty” cats roam a dedicated interactive zone where visitors can pet and photograph them.

The park is built along the riverbank with lawns, walking paths, and viewing platforms woven between cat houses and a small on-site veterinary area. Each cat has an individual profile — health record, background, personality — accessible through the park’s mini-program, and visitors can apply to adopt a cat they connect with. Tickets are inexpensive and include feeding sticks for the more sociable cats.

It’s an unusual, low-key stop that pairs well with a longer walk along Nanbin Road, and a good option for anyone traveling with kids or simply after something gentler than the city’s more frenetic landmarks.
